Gross Annual Bridging Lending Breaks £5bn
The bridging sector in the UK has seen a remarkable rise in lending, breaking £5 billion by the end of last year.
This is according to new research carried out by the West One Bridging Index, looking deeper into the activity of ASTL members.
Members lent over £1 billion during the implementation of the 0.25% rise in bank base rates.

London’s Digital Core is Hitting Its Prime
Companies in London, compared to many years ago, can now be seen fighting over a specific postcode in the very popular capital.
The likes of Shoreditch, Clerkenwell and Aldgate have drawn interest from major corporations, such as Amazon (who recently bought their new London HQ in Principal Place).
Rents in these areas have gone up by more than 40% over three years to around £70 per sq ft.

Council Unveils Mixed-Use Nottingham Scheme
Broxtowe Borough Council have decided to reveal phase two plans of an existing development at Beeston Square.
The proposal will see more than 100 new homes, alongside a new state of the art cinema and several food and drinks venues.
The scheme is expected to start onsite in spring 2019, subject to planning approval.
